Auditor: Over-the-Rhine charter school overpaid employee by almost $4,000

OVER-THE-RHINE, Ohio (WKRC) - A Cincinnati charter school paid a former employee thousands of dollars he didn't earn, according to a report released today by Ohio auditor, Dave Yost.

The report indicates King Academy in Over-the-Rhine paid nearly $22,000 to former administrative aide Dexter Thomas instead of the approved amount of $18,000.

The payments took place between February and July 2017.

Auditors have requested that Thomas return the money he was overpaid.
