Read more about the 2019 Honda Passport: https://cargur.us/rcMwY The last time we saw the Passport was back in 2002, when it shared the same parts as the Isuzu Rodeo. But when that partnership ended, so did the Passport. 16 years later, this 2-row SUV looks poised to impress. A lot of SUVs these days are moving toward 4-cylinder engines, but the Passport comes standard with a 3.5-liter V6 good for 280 horsepower. Combined with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, the Passport is designed to handle comfortably on road and capably off road. The Passport’s roughly the size of a Toyota 4Runner, although it doesn’t offer quite as much cargo space. Behind the rear seat, it has a reversible cargo floor—one side is carpeted, and the other is an easy-to-clean plastic. Underneath that floor, you’ve got an extra cargo hold for dirty equipment or luggage you want to keep out of sight. This 8-inch screen runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the base Sport trim will have a 5-incher that doesn’t run either. We expect the Passport to compete fiercely with the 4Runner and the upcoming Chevy Blazer. You’ll be able to test drive one in early 2019.
