Track Review Foo Fighters Outside

My review of Foo Fighters new track outside that was recorded In Los Angeles

Overall: 4/5

Hey everybody I am reviewing the Foo FIghters new song called Outside. Now this song was recorded outside of Los Angeles. Very fitting title and this one actually features Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh. I think the first thing you're going to notice is that if you're a punk rock fan this song sounds a lot like a song called Return of the Rat by a Punk Rock band called Wipers and yeah the guitar riff sounds very familiar and similar. And it's not the first time a track has been compared to previous song or people have claimed the Foo Fighters have ripped off another band. If you remember the first single that got released Something From Nothing a lot of people were comparing that riff to the riff from the Devo song, not Devo, Dio song Holy Diver, which sounded very similar as well, but I think Dave has always been influenced by Metal bands as well as punk rock bands as we've seen in the documentary sonic highways. And the other thing you're going to notice is that the bass line is amazing in this song. I find there's very few Foo Fighters songs where Nate Mendell really shines. And this is definetely one of these songs where he shines. You really get to see what kind of bass player he really is. My only complaint about the song is that they sort of have a really long bridge, which sort of goes nowhere. I feel like they really could have done something with the bridge, but they decided not to. And there's also this weird part where it sounds like an organ is playing in the background. I know the Foo Fighters have a keyboardist. At least the keyboards are not as prevelant or at least as noticeable in their other songs as it is in this song. But other than, it's still a great tune overall. It's probably my second favourite song that's been released out of the five so far. I'd probably give this song a 4/5. Thanks for watching guys and odn't forget to subscribe and I'm going to have a full review of Sonic Highways in the coming days. Take care have a good weekend.
