Hey everybody what's up I want to talk about Imagine Dragons they are releasing on their upcoming album Smoke and Mirrors. This song is called Shots and I wasn't really a big fan of their first single I bet my life  on you which came out about a month ago or so and I have never been a big Imagine Dragons fan. I've always found that their songs all sound the same their all these anthemc rock songs and I have trouble calling it rock because it's more poppy to me than anything else but you know i gave Shots a listen and I was pleasantly surprised. 

It's sounds like their upcoming album Smoke and Mirrors is probably going to have a good variety of musical styles on it and this song is a perfect example of that. This song has a lot of synths, it's got some subtle guitars but you can definitely hear the guitars in this song and it's got this cool drum fill during the bridge of the song. And people have always compared Imagine Dragons to Coldplay before, but i never really felt like their songs sounded like Coldplay, but this song really reminds me of Coldplay. I guess the style of it. The song just didn't feel as anthemic as their previous stuff which I liked. I'd probably give this song a 4/5. It's hopefully a sign of things to come on their upcoming album (Smoke and Mirrors. I'd love to know what you guys think of their new song. The alternative rock band premiered on Spotify on Monday (Jan. 26) a brand new song from their forthcoming sophomore album “Smoke + Mirrors”, in stores on February 17 via Interscope Records. Interesting they didn’t opt to do the typical “iTunes countdown” release or perhaps they’re just going to launch the song for digital purchase later on the week. “Shots” song review

"Not entirely “rock” but I like a lot. I just have to repeat it: “Smoke + Mirrors” is going to be such an eclectic album and I’m just super impressed at the courage Imagine Dragons are having to come up with a new sound(s) for their second album when second albums are supposed to be always ‘safe’ and a continuation of your sound in order to avoid the “flop second album syndrome”.

“Shots” is a phenomenal uplifting record that speaks about struggling in life but fighting for a purpose. Dan Reynolds' vocals are amazing as usual, and that drum-y bridge is EVERYTHING. I seriously think this should be more than just a buzz single."
