CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Area doctor’s offices are seeing early warning signs that come with dehydration.

They want everyone to know that if you are outside and active with work or play, you do need to take extra care that you don't wait until you are thirsty to start drinking fluid, especially water.

Early warning signs of dehydration can be everything from feeling dizzy to not having to urinate, as well as rapid breathing, sleepiness, confusion and fainting.

“It’s certainly the time of year for it, we haven't been really hot, but humidity is quite high, but in people who sweat a lot with a breeze blowing you might not notice how much fluid you are losing, so certainly in the next couple of months rehydration is important for anyone who is doing things outside,” said Dr. Scott Woods with TriHealth Family Medicine.

If you get to a point where you stop sweating or start experiencing nausea and vomiting, you need to stop what you are doing and seek medical attention.
