Uchumi Supermarkets to close two brances end of January

Uchumi Supermarkets will close two branches in Nairobi at the end of this month as the retailer scouts for locations yielding more profits. The retailer plans to close the Capital Centre branch along Mombasa Road and Jipange branch along Thika Road reducing its branch network from the current 20 to 18. Uchumi Supermarkets further plans to shut the Sarit outlet in April this year which will see its branch network to 17.
