Kenya MPs ask gov’t to deploy more troops in Mandera

The National Assembly Committee on security is asking for an extra deployment of security forces to the North Eastern region. The committee says security forces should move swiftly to combat terror elements in soft targets around the porous borders to avert any more killings by Al Shabaab terror gang. This came even as the government promised to fast truck the construction of a security wall at the porous Kenyan-Somalia border. Roncliffe Odit reports.
