Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Table Formatting in Excel: Customize Your Tables with Thousands of Formats! Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel netcast! I'm Bill Jelen and today we're diving into the world of table formatting in Excel. With the release of Excel 2007 just 12 days away, it's the perfect time to explore all the new features and options available to us. In this video, we'll be focusing on the various table formatting options and how you can customize them to fit your needs. First, let's talk about the accent colors in the Office Theme. When we choose the GreenBar option, we have 6 different accent colors to choose from. But did you know that by selecting a different built-in theme from the Page Layout ribbon, you can access 20 different color schemes, each with their own set of 6 accent colors? This allows you to give your document a completely new look with just a few clicks. But what if the built-in Table Styles aren't enough for your needs? No problem! You can easily create your own custom Table Style by right-clicking on an existing style and choosing "Duplicate". This will create a brand new Table Quick Style that you can customize to your heart's content. For example, you can adjust the height of the First and Second Row Stripes to 2, giving your table a double high GreenBar effect. And if you find yourself using this style frequently, you can even set it as the default for all new tables you create. With the combination of the 40+ built-in Table Styles and the 20 built-in themes, the possibilities for customizing your tables are endless. You can create your own unique styles with different row and column heights, making your data stand out and look professional with just a few clicks. So go ahead and experiment with the various options and see what works best for your data. Thanks for watching and be sure to tune in next time for more Excel tips and tricks from MrExcel!"
