Microsoft Excel Tutorial - Excel Data Entry Secrets. Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel netcast! In this video, I'll be sharing a secret trick that will help you enter data faster in Excel. We all know that data entry can be a tedious and time-consuming task, but with this trick, you'll be able to save a lot of time and effort. In the past, I've shown you how to change the move selection after enter direction in the tools options menu to make data entry more efficient. But today, I'll be showing you an even cooler way to do it. By leaving the move selection after enter direction as down, you don't have to pre-select any data at all. Simply enter your data in the first cell and use the [tab] key to move to the next cell. Keep pressing [tab] until you reach the last column, and then hit [enter]. Excel will automatically jump back to the first column, saving you the hassle of pre-selecting data or changing your tools options. This trick is especially useful if you have a lot of data to enter. It eliminates the need to constantly switch between your keyboard and mouse, making the data entry process much smoother and faster. So the next time you have a large dataset to enter, remember this secret trick and watch your productivity soar. Thanks for tuning in to this episode of the MrExcel netcast. I hope you found this trick helpful and will use it to speed up your data entry tasks. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more Excel tips and tricks. See you next time!"
