Today I'm canning up dried black beans. It is much more economical than buying pre-cooked, canned beans from the grocery store. You not only save money, but you know exactly what is the the food you are serving to your family and eating yourself. You can use almost any kind of bean you like. White beans, butter beans, navy beans, pintos, etc. as well as lentils and dried peas.

It's super convenient to have cooked beans ready and waiting on your pantry shelf. Add them to soups, casseroles, salads, meatloaf, spaghetti.....it's all up to you! Beans are high in fiber and protein and make a wonderful, healthy addition to your diet. Please follow the directions for your particular brand of pressure canner as to pounds of pressure and length of time for processing. Thanks for watching!
