Kenya has become the first country in East Africa to install a solar system at a major airport in efforts aimed at reducing carbon emissions by large aircrafts taking off from the facility. A ground-mounted 500 kilowatt solar power system at the Moi International Airport, Mombasa will offset 1,300 tones of carbon annually.
