Here we see the CFPS mainline machine 40145 still in large logo and seen here standing over the pits outside the Baron Street steam shed on the East Lancashire Railway. The ground is a typical mixture of oil, grime, and coal dust. The locomotive was being brake-tested and generally examined by CFPS engineer Dave Peacock, and at the same time the number one end cab and radiator room were being cleaned. This was in preparation for a very busy summer timetable with a mainline tour to East Anglia (12th April 2008) in the pipeline. John Wantling, Rochdale, UK
