Skipper butterflies are members of the Hesperiidae family named after their quick darting flight habits, which are amply demonstrated in this video. Like dragonflies, they have preferred perches that they return to in spots of high visibility. The umber skipper is a small, compact butterfly with fast reflexes, with relatively tame coloration but interesting antennae that are barely visible to the average human eye. There are 3500+ species of skipper butterflies!
