Microsoft Excel Tutorial - Customize Your Excel Toolbar with Hundreds of New Icons.

Welcome back to another episode of the MrExcel podcast. In today's video, we're going to talk about customizing icons in Excel. Did you know that you can add hundreds of new icons to your toolbar? It's a simple process that can make your Excel experience even more efficient and personalized.

To get started, simply right-click on your toolbar and select "Customize". This will bring up the customize dialog box. From there, click on the "Commands" tab in the center. Here, you'll find 20 different categories to choose from. Once you select a category, you'll see dozens of new icons that you can add to your toolbar.

Now, here's a cool trick that I learned last week. The Close button in Excel doesn't have an icon associated with it, unlike in other Office applications. But, if you customize the toolbar in Microsoft Word, you can add an actual icon for Close. Simply right-click on the icon in Word and choose "Copy Button Image". Then, go back to Excel, right-click on the Close button, and select "Paste Button Image". Voila! You now have an icon for the Close button in Excel.

And here's another little-known tip - you can take icons from any of the Office applications and bring them back to Excel. So, if you have a favorite icon in Word or PowerPoint, you can easily add it to your Excel toolbar. How cool is that?
