A5199929 Buddy is a fantastic 1-year-old caramel-and-white neutered Labrador Retriever mix puppy whose owners surrendered him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 13th because, they said, they didn’t have enough time for him. Weighing 37 lbs, Buddy was the favorite of the day. Everyone fell in love with him. All he wants to do is say hello, kiss you, and, if you’ll let him, sit on your lap. Buddy wants to meet everyone - people and dogs alike - though we didn’t have him play with any dogs. Buddy sits on command, has an affectionate disposition and a medium energy level. Though he was non-stop curious about everyone, he also laid down and just hung out when his handler stopped to talk for a bit. Buddy is ok on leash, but needs a refresher. According to his owners, he has not yet been house trained, but he is so attentive and eager to please that shouldn’t be too much of a challenge. We are all so in love with Buddy that we know anyone that takes him home will fall in love just as fast. He’ll be perfect for any type of household as their indoor companion forever.
