European ministers have signed off on the United Kingdom's draft divorce deal. The EU's chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, has said the text would be presented to EU leaders on Sunday. It comes as the EU works on another political statement which sets out the bloc's ambitions for its future relations with the UK -- and on a possible extension to the period in which the UK transitions out of the European Union. Despite coming under extreme pressure at home over the terms of the deal, UK Prime Minister Theresa May remains defiant, insisting that she can push it through parliament next month.
