Lincoln Heights homicide victim identified

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio (WKRC) -- The Hamilton County Coroner's office has identified the man killed Thursday as Jeremy Nelson, 19.

Shots were fired at 843 Jackson Street at Douglas Street around 4 p.m. Thursday. Nelson was found on Van Buren Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to UC Medical Center but he died from his injuries. 

Police said a possible suspect was described as a black male dressed in all brown last seen running east on Van Buren Avenue through a wooded area, but investigators have not said if they have identified him. 

Lincoln Heights Elementary was locked downed for a time following the shooting.
