Hey guys, Mike Martins here from the Mike Martins Channel!

Today I'm playing a game that I've had in the shop for quite a while called Lost Cities, and if you've never played this game before, I strongly recommend giving it a try.

It's a very straightforward game to learn, but there's actually quite a bit of strategy involved once you start playing.

The basic idea is to send your explorers out on different expeditions while playing numbered cards in ascending order. The catch is that once you play a higher-numbered card, you can't go backwards. So you've really got to think about what you're putting down and what cards you might still draw.

Your explorers start in negative territory, so you're trying to move them far enough along their expeditions to start earning positive points. There are also opportunities to collect bonuses and treasures along the way.

In this video I'm playing through an expedition with Rain and showing you guys how the cards work, how you move your explorers, how scoring works and some of the decisions you have to make during the game.

Do you play that high card now?

Do you wait for something lower?

Do you discard it?

Do you start another expedition?

Those simple decisions make Lost Cities a lot of fun.

You can play different-length games depending on how many expeditions you want to complete, so it's also a good game when you don't want something that's going to take the entire night.
