The Clone Conspiracy #4 takes center stage as the tables turn on Peter, but Batman has his hands full as well in issue #15. Let's not forget Curse Words #1, which makes a stellar debut.

Batman #15 finishes off a short story about the thing between Batman and Catwoman. Not only do we get more sexy time between these two, but the reckless hunt for Catwoman puts Batman on deaths door. The question is: Does Tom King feel like Batman would throw caution to the wind for the woman he loves? If this issue is any indication I think he just might. However, that Bat and Cat don’t take the top spot this week, as Curse Words #1 by Charles Soule takes the cake. The story of a formerly evil wizard that came to our realm in an attempt to conquer it for his dark master. Instead, as his potion brewed for weeks, he finds that he wants to stay here and defend it from the darkness. However, with no sense of morality to speak of, his help might still bring about the end.

Another book that I really enjoyed this week was The Clone Conspiracy #4, which brought about the change we were looking for in Ben Reilly. With only one simple statement from Peter Parker, this new Jackal goes from misguided person to super villain status. This might not be for everyone, but I find myself enjoying this a lot. We also see some more Supermen inside Superman #15 as they collect various versions from across the multiverse. While the end might be a bit cliche I can’t help but feel a little shortchanged. That being said, Superman is still a stellar book and I don’t think this arc will disappoint anyone.

My other favorite books of the week would be Gamora #2, which continues to be great even though Thanos doesn’t appear in the issue. Ultimates 2 #3 is also still going strong with Al Ewing rewriting the order of things in the Marvel cosmic landscape. On the indie front we also have the Black Hammer Giant Sized Annual #1 which continues to show important parts of the story, but this time with an assist from a lot of great artists.
