Captain America #701 is the beginning of the end for Mark Waid on this Marvel Legacy title before Fresh Start kicks off on July 4th. In the remaining time that he has, Waid has decided to not tell a Captain America story. Instead, he doubles down on what Captain America stands for and how that has carried forward into the future. Using the great-great-great-great-great grandson of Steve Rogers as the main character, he uncovers a plot that not only hurts the family name, but threatens the future of everyone on Earth. Can Jack Rogers summon the courage Captain America was once known for? Will he be able to stand up to the create and change the course of history? We start that very story right here in issue #701.
