Independent candidate Kasiano Ezati Wadri has been elected the new Member of Parliament for Arua Municipality. Wadri who is currently in detention was arrested in Arua on the eve of the election. Shortly after the results were announced Chairman of the Electoral commission Justice Simon Byabakama called for peaceful elections where no lives should be lost.
