A5046128 Audrey is a glamorous 3-year-old female brown-black Brittany Spaniel and Labrador Retriever mix who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on April 1st as a stray from Azusa. Weighing 48 lbs, Audrey is just gorgeous, with a sturdy Lab body and glossy coat topped off with feathered Cocker ears and feet. She’s OK on leash, shows signs of housebreaking, and is friendly with people. However, she’s not a fan of other dogs, and barks at any she meets to warn them away -- she seems to have been used for breeding, so this may be leftover “protective mama” behavior and may fade with time. However, we recommend cautious introductions to other dogs, and she may do best as your only sweetheart. Audrey is a lovely, affectionate girl and we think she’d be an ornament to any home as an indoor pet and companion!

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
