Senators are calling for an extensive audit of all pending bills owed by county governments. Senate’s public accounts committee chairman Moses Kajwang’ says out of an estimated 99 billion shillings owed by counties only 10% may be valid. The lawmakers have also warned governors against concealing financial documents needed by the Auditor General to audit in the counties.
