Here we see 'The Whistling Fellsman' rail tour from Stafford to Carlisle as it motors through Hebden Bridge heading towards Copy Pit on its return leg at about 7.00pm on Saturday 2nd August 2008. The engine is the Class 40 Preservation Society's mainline locomotive 40145, and the tour was organised by Compass Tours. We also get a nice view of this small but picturesque West Yorkshire railway station. The engine lives on the East Lancashire Railway, Bury, Lancashire, where it runs a number of times a year along with its sister engine D335. John Wantling, Rochdale, UK
