This unedited video shows the start to finish turning of a 9" x 2" pasta bowl from Sycamore, in under 8.5 minutes. Please note this is not intended as an instructional video. I am an experienced turner and have been producing tableware for over 10 years. I do hope that it may be inspirational to watch. My pieces are intended to become utilitarian items that will see daily use and provide a lifetime of service. Therefore I do not lavish them with hours of sanding or apply a high gloss finish. Instead they are sanded at 150 and 240 grit before being lightly coated with a food grade oil.
