The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya has raised the red flag over audit backlog for public institutions. The institute is calling for the scaling up of the Office of the Auditor General in efforts to fast track the audit processes especially at public institutions whose delay could create an avenue for misuse of public funds.
