Microsoft Excel Tutorial - How to Clear All Excel Filters with Show All.

Welcome back to the MrExcel Netcast! In today's episode, we have a question from Steve about using the auto filter in Excel. He wants to know if there is a fast way to show all the customers again after selecting a specific one. Well, I have good news for you, Steve! There is a quick and easy way to do this in both Excel 2007 and 2003. Just hit Alt D, then F, and then S to invoke the Excel 2003 menu for "Data" "Filter" "Show all". It's that simple!

But that's not all, Steve also asked about a common issue where the items in the list stop halfway through, usually at the letter M. This is a limitation in Excel 2003, where there is a limit to how many items can be in the list. However, in Excel 2007, this limit has been dramatically increased to about 10,000 items. So if you're running into this problem, it might be a good reason to upgrade to Excel 2007.
