Match day one of the 2018/2019 Kenya Cup season saw Nondies register a shock win over Homeboyz RFC while defending champions KCB were too good for newbies Menengai Oilers.

The bankers picked up from where they left last season banking a 27 - 5 win over newbies Oilers at RFUEA. Across the fence, Impala Saracens survived a scare as they scrapped past Blak Blad 18 - 15. Top Fry Nakuru started the new season on a high beating hosts Strathmore Leos 15 - 20 while away from the city, Kabras Sugar hammered newly promoted side Mean Machine 41 - nil in Kakamega. On Sunday, Kenya Harlequins will face off with Mwamba in a rescheduled fixture.
