The parliamentary committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises quizzed former Acting Deputy Governor of Bank of Uganda David Okello Opio on the sale of assets of closed banks. Okello was in charge of supervision between 2002 and 2007 when the assets of Greenland Bank, the Cooperative Bank and International Credit Bank were sold off. The committee has been trying to establish how the companies that bought the assets were procured and how the assets value declined to $5.2 million from $10 million. #NTVNews Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Like our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/NTVUganda
