Government has faulted refugee agencies for continued environmental degradation in areas where refugees are settled in various parts of the country. Gerald Simon Menya, the Acting Commissioner of Refugees in the Office of the Prime Minister said that agencies such as the United Nations provide gas and other necessities to refugees in countries like Turkey where there are no forests. He was speaking at the Regional Conference on Forced Migration held in Kampala.
