EACC probes Tatu City over tax evasion claims

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is seeking clarity from the ministry of lands over 28 large parcels of land which make up the bulk of the proposed Tatu city over allegations of tax evasion and money laundering.  The commission is seeking relevant documents over the ownership of the land among them stamp duty receipts, title deeds, transfer documents and valuation reports.  The latest development coming in the wake of a move by KRA to block all sale of Tatu city land over concerns about tax evasion.
