Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! Can you believe it's already November 21st? Today marks the 10th anniversary of when I launched MrExcel.com. To celebrate, I want to share with you my all-time favorite Excel tip that I'm sure I've mentioned a million times before.

In this video, we have 500 rows of data and I've created a formula in cell I2 that I want to copy down. Now, we all know the traditional way of using the Fill Handle to drag the formula down. But let's be honest, it can be a bit of a hassle. Excel starts going faster and faster, and before you know it, you've gone way past the end of your data set. Then you have to drag back up and try again, only to end up too far again. It's like a never-ending dance, back and forth, back and forth.

But fear not, my friends! I have a solution for you. As long as there is data in the column to the left and no blanks in that data, all you have to do is double-click the Fill Handle. Yes, you heard that right, just double-click that square dot and Excel will automatically copy the formula down to all the rows with data. No more Fill Handle dance, no more frustration. It's a simple trick that will save you time and effort.
