Here we see the Class 40 Preservation Society's (CFPS) flagship locomotive 40145 being started up by top driver Matt Jackson, who then climbs down from the engine and stands to one side admiring the glorious sight of this classic English Electric loco. Matt would soon take the locomotive further down the line, through Bury Bolton Street, and then to the steam shed where it would be checked over by top CFPS engineer Dave Peacock the following day in readiness for a journey to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The date is Saturday 14th April 2007 and this is the East Lancashire Railway.
