After 3 years in the Scenic City pro cyclists from around the country will be heading to North Carolina next year. USA Cycling announced that Winston-Salem is the host for the 2016 and 2017 Volkswagen USA Cycling professional road and time trial national championships. According to USA Cycling the championships will be part of a bigger 9 day cycling event. Winston-Salem was also awarded the 2016-17 masters road national championships last December.
