It's another wedding-day special on the East Lancashire Railway. The Jinty 3F steam engine (47324) top and tailed the train to Rawtenstall, complete with diner set, and then double-headed with D335 on the return journey. Here we see a shot of the Jinty taken from the cab of D335 as it attacks the 'ski jump' just outside Bury Bolton Street station. Without the assistance of D335, the Jinty would not have made it alone. A Class 40 coupled to a Jinty is most inappropriate as the two engines do not compliment one another in any sense. The date is Saturday 23rd August 2008. John Wantling, Rochdale, UK
