Microsoft Excel Tutorial: PowerPivot offers the opportunity to create up to 4 Charts from your data . . . but what if you need to move beyond that to 5 or more Charts?

Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel podcast. In this episode, we will be discussing PowerPivot 2010 and how it can do more than just four charts. As data analysts, we often need to create multiple charts and reports to analyze our data. But what if we need more than just four charts? Well, with PowerPivot, it's easy to create as many charts as we need.

In this video, we will walk through the process of creating a fifth and sixth chart using PowerPivot. We start with a report that already has four charts and a couple of slicers driving the data. But we need to add a fifth and sixth chart to our report. So, we go to Pivot Table ＞ Pivot Table and select to create the new chart on an existing worksheet. Then, we simply click the reference button and select the data we want to use for our new chart. With just a few clicks, we have our fifth chart added to the report.

But what about the slicers? We want our new chart to be connected to the existing slicers so that it updates along with the other four charts. To do this, we go to Pivot Table Options and select the "Insert Slicer" button. From there, we can choose to connect our new chart to the existing slicers using the "Slicer Connections" option. And just like that, our fifth chart is now connected to the slicers and updates along with the other four charts. This is a great way to create as many charts as we need without being limited to just four.

So, as you can see, PowerPivot offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating charts and reports. You can easily create as many charts as you need and connect them to existing slicers for a seamless analysis experience. Thank you for watching this episode of the MrExcel podcast.
