Women lawmakers have stepped up their lobbying and are expressing confidence that the National Assembly will unanimously vote to pass the two thirds gender bill. Kenya Women Parliamentarians Chairperson Purity Ngirici says there is need to demystify the notion that the push for gender parity is only aimed at creating special seats for women in Parliament. The two thirds gender principle bill which failed to sail through the Senate in the 11th Parliament will be debated in the National Assembly Tuesday.
