The Benefits of Cranberry Seed Oil for Skin

Cranberry seed oil is one of the richest sources of vitamin E, which is also known as the ‘beauty vitamin’ because of its ability to make the skin and hair healthier and more beautiful.

The oil itself has a pleasant fruity smell, a golden yellow color, and a medium-light consistency, so it nicely absorbs into the skin.

Besides vitamin E, cranberry seed oil also contains vitamin A, phytosterols, phospholipids, and Omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids.

It is also rich in zinc, copper, iron, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, manganese and selenium.

The Benefits of Cranberry Seed Oil

1. Skin Moisturization

The moisturizing property of this oil comes from the abundant omega fatty acid content.

Adding a few drops of oil into your body lotion will provide an intense hydration for dry and acne prone skin.

2. Anti-Aging

The fatty acids and vitamin E deeply nourish the skin, and improve its elasticity by stimulating the collagen production.

The antioxidants contained in cranberry seed oil, protect the skin from the radical damage, and reduce age spots.

How to Use It

Take a 2 oz amber glass dropper bottle, and add in it these ingredients:

1 teaspoon of cranberry seed oil, 1 teaspoon of watermelon seed oil, 1 tablespoon of argan oil, and 1 teaspoon of prickly pear oil.

Now add 4 drops of each of these essential oils: frankincense, lavender, and sandalwood oil.

Cap the bottle, shake well, and use 2-4 drops to rub into your skin.

3. Reduces Inflammation

The anti-inflammatory properties of cranberry seed oil can be helpful in rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.

The omega 3 and 6 fatty acids support the protective lipid layer of the skin thus preventing its dryness, and the occurrence of rough patches.

Among other benefits of cranberry seed oil for skin we can mention its ability to soothe sensitive skin, and reduce skin's irritation;

- High vitamin E levels can promote healthy hair growth by moisturizing the scalp, and fighting dandruff;

-It can be used as massage oil because of its medium texture and consistency - to make a massage oil suitable for sensitive skin, mix cranberry seed oil with jojoba oil, and add a few drops of lavender oil.
