MIAMISBURG -- Many of the businesses along the strip on State Route 725 are on a 48 hour boil advisory because of a water main break earlier this week.We checked in with a couple stores who are having to deal with the frustrations.Smash burger has to go out and buy bottled water for their customers. The water also makes the fountains unusable so they have to buy canned sodas and of course ice. They also have to boil water for any cooking.they do.The Smoothie king next door also has to deal with the break.I think the customers were a little frustrated because it was the second time last week and this week, said Smashburger GM Najib Sayed. The fact is this is the second weekend now that we have to deal with this. So it's been really hard, said Eric Pierce-French. It's affected all the business here. Last time it was a 24 hour advisory; this time it's a 48 hour boil advisory.A six-inch water line that feeds into the fire hydrant blew a hole Monday morning because of the changing temperaturesWhen crews went to pressurize the system, there was a valve leaking and that's what caused this current 48-hour boil advisory. The advisory is expected to expire Saturday night.Connect with ABC 22/FOX 45 Reporter Wale Aliyu on Facebook and Twitter.
