Here are some of the latest effects of the ongoing heavy downpour: In Mwingi East, Kitui County, 4 people are believed to have died after flooded River Enziu swept away their lorry. At least 3 bridges were overtopped and compromised by floods. One was along Mombasa Road at the Stoni Athi Bridge. The heavy downpour is bound to affect schooling as several Primary institutions within Kajiado County have been ordered to close.
