Traffic police officers have been placed on alert ahead of Christmas and new year festivities  in the wake of concerns over increased cases of road carnage along the country’s roads. Speaking during the inaugural National Police Service week, Interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’I directed traffic police officers to fully implement the new traffic regulations and take appropriate action against those flouting the law.
