Microsoft Excel Tutorial - Discover the Power of AutoShapes in Excel: Draw 70 Different Shapes with Ease.

Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In yesterday's episode, we learned how to use the Oval tool to highlight data on our spreadsheet. But did you know that we're not limited to just ovals and squares? On the AutoShapes drop-down, there are dozens of different shapes to choose from. You can even find basic shapes like squares and rectangles, or more unique ones like a lightning bolt. Simply click and drag to add the shape to your spreadsheet.

Once you have the shape on your spreadsheet, there are a few options on the Drawing toolbar that you can use to customize it. The paint bucket tool allows you to add a fill color to the shape, while the Line Color option lets you change the outline color. If you want to create an outline without a fill, simply select "No fill" and then choose your desired line color.

But that's not all - the green rotation handle on the shape allows you to rotate it in any direction. This gives you the flexibility to create different shapes and angles, making your spreadsheet even more visually appealing. So don't be afraid to experiment and get creative with your shapes!

Using AutoShapes is a great way to add visual interest to your spreadsheet. It's a simple yet effective tool that can make your data stand out and be more engaging for your audience.
