Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura wants the government to scrap fees demanded by government agencies to persons applying for jobs. In a petition presented in the senate Mwaura argues the demand for a certificate of good conduct, HELB clearance, CRB clearance only serve to disenfranchise youth who barely have resources while applying for jobs. His petition is likely to re-ignite turf wars with the national assembly as a similar motion was approved in the national assembly pushing for the waiver of payment of fees by youth seeking employment.
