Fairfield woman indicted on murder charge for boyfriend's death

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A grand jury has indicted a Fairfield woman accused of murdering her boyfriend. Stephanie Gabbard remains in jail on a million dollar bond.

Gabbard is accused of killing her boyfriend David Mitchell, 41, on September 3 or 4. He was found dead at their Eastgate Drive apartment.

A friend of Gabbard's called 911 to say that a friend of his called him crying and "kind of hysterical". The friend added that Gabbard has been in and out of an abusive relationship. He had asked for police to do a welfare check.
