Recently, few intellectuals and government had taken strong exception to Thomson Reuters Foundation’s survey on 'women’s issues' which claimed that India is rape capital of the world.
But the fact is that India is indeed going through a worst phase in terms of women safety. The nature of MP’s Mandsaur rape case once again ashamed the entire society. 
The accused inserted a rod into her private part which reminds 2012 Nirbhaya case. However, MP government has urged death penalty to the culprit. 
In another case, Bihar court declared first capital punishment to an accused in Gopalganj rape case under POCSO act.
