Hi everyone, in this video we sing "Beetlebum" by the band Blur. We recognize that this song could be very activating for some people, as it is about heroin and is sometimes used in trauma-based mind control, but it is one of our favorite songs and we wanted to make a cover of it to share with you all. We just hope that anyone with mc or addiction triggers who chooses to watch or listen will do so with caution. 

We should mention that in the first minute, we give an introduction in which we mention the following potentially triggering topics: structural dissociation, the song we are about to sing, heroin addiction, mind control, sober time and our sobriety date (which unfortunately has numerological significance that could be activating for some), coping with triggers, recognizing that heroin can be used as a weapon, and anxiety. The singing starts at 1:32. 

We should also mention that we did our best to minimize visual triggers in the background of this video, but didn't notice til afterward that there were two small red objects visible on either side of us in the back (a tupperware lid and a metal box) and that the blanket right behind us was folded in a way that made the shadows form the shape of the letter "v." All of this was unintentional and we are sorry if any of it is triggering for others. We hope that if it is, those who find it triggering will take care of themselves and just listen to the audio if that would make it easier for them to hear what we have to say and/or listen to us sing.  

And lastly, we want to add that we realized after this started uploading that we made a mistake in the lyrics in the last line of the first verse. We are sorry about this. Like we said in the introduction, we were really nervous.
