Miami University police officer accused of threatening wife appears in court

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Miami University police officer faced a judge Tuesday morning for threatening his wife.

James Baker is charged with aggravated menacing, using weapons while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Investigators say he went as far as holding a gun to her head on Saturday and then punched her in the back of the head.

Police say Baker was so intoxicated he had to be taken to the hospital. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.
