Parliament will tomorrow take a decision on the Genetically Modified Organisms bill following the president’s decision to return it to parliament for reconsideration. The president’s concerns included the title of the bill, patent rights for indigenous farmers and sanctions for scientists who mix GMOs with indigenous crops. Nakifuma County MP, Kafeero Ssekitoleko, who is one of the proponents of the bill, says Parliament’s Committee on Science and Technology has addressed the president’s concerns including the establishment of a gene bank to preserve the country’s indigenous plant and animal species. #NTVNews Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Like our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/NTVUganda
