Government to closely monitor contractors working on agricultural projects

The government will closely monitor contractors working on agricultural projects as well as bring to book officials who mismanage funds allocated for such projects to increase their completion rates and ensure there is value for money for taxpayers. Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri says the government will also target contractors who embezzle funds meant for agricultural projects, which has contributed to some stalling.
