I had some small-ish pieces of 1095 and decided to try and make a chisel.  From my research 1095 is not the best steel for making chisels but that is what I had and I wanted to give it a try.  And yes the chisel is crooked which is due to my poor planning and lack of foresight and experience.  I used a broken off handle from a hammer for the chisel handle.  The hammer handle was already shaped with tapers on all sides.  It would have been wiser to use a piece of stock that was square so that I could reference off the flat surfaces to drill a straight hole.  To be honest I probably still couldn't have drilled a straight hole even with 4s stock.  Anyhow this build was more for the learning process than the end product.  Its not the best chisel in the world but it is my chisel and I will cherish it until the day I die or the handle breaks off because the tang was too narrow or which ever comes first.
